While hunkered down for book five -- always take a photo op break

With only two weeks before book number five is due (first draft), I took a break from the writing grind to attend Applefest in Warwick, NY, a beautiful farm town in Orange County. Luckily enough, I was able to meet actor James Cromwell (iRobot, The Green Mile, Babe, The Longest Yard, Halt & Catch Fire, American Horror Story, The Young Pope). Apparently Warwick is a breeding ground for artists -- so I'll have to soak in the ambience some more.

Right now, Tom Brooks has encountered a group of people who've challenged him to his core, at a Beverly Hills mansion -- complete with terraced gardens! In book five, we'll meet Dr. Maskarian, of UCLA, who runs the Mountaintop meetings. You'll also encounter Marv Callie is a different way, a more generous way. Keep your eyes peeled for Ron Seidon, too, the underdog of this whole series, who may or may not trek over to Brooks's place on North Canon Drive.
